Q: How often should I have an eye health exam?
A: A yearly eye exam is recommended. Having an eye exam every year assists in the early detection of eye diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macula degeneration, cataracts, etc. A eye exam every year also ensures that you have the most updated glasses and contact lens prescription so that you enjoy your best vision at all times.
Q: When should my child have their 1st eye health exam?
A: A child can be examined as early as 6 months old. We recommend the 1st exam between 6 months and 12 months.
Q: How do I care for my new eyeglasses?
A: Eyeglasses should always be stored in there case when not being worn. The lenses can be cleaned with a lens spray (available at our office) or a mild dish detergent. A soft cloth can be used to wipe lenses. Never use a paper products such as a facial tissue or a paper towel to wipe lenses, this will cause scratches.
